Hundreds Gather at Prescott Valley Open House
Agape House celebrated the arrival of the final homes at the Prescott Valley campus. The additional homes will allow Agape House to help thirteen local homeless families at a time.
Executive director Becky Mitchell said the opening of the new homes would free up space in their existing transitional housing in the Prescott apartments. Once the setup is complete and the houses are furnished, three families — a single father with teenagers, a single mother with three children under the age of four, and a mother with school-age children- will soon move from the apartments into the Prescott Valley homes.
The Prescott Valley housing project is the culmination of four years of work by Agape House, in collaboration with the Town of Prescott Valley, supporters, local businesses, and other nonprofits. Southwest Homes provided the homes, and Milgard Windows and Doors provided financial support and/or needed services to prepare the properties.
