Oh, the joy of having a home where children can build forts!
Our Agape children recently built a fort outdoors at the Agapeville apartments. This playful activity brought back memories of constructing forts with my siblings and friends. We would collect blankets, pillows, cardboard boxes, and chairs to make a secret retreat where we could play and let our imaginations run wild for hours. Now, these children, who previously didn’t have a place to call home or a bed of their own, have a home worthy of fort-building!
We loved watching our Agape kids invent their own worlds and stories, giving them a sense of control over their surroundings that is crucial for healthy development. Building forts is an excellent way to spark children’s imaginative play. It helps foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and social abilities, while also offering a secure environment for emotional growth.
