COVID-19 RESPONSE LETTER

Greetings from all of us at Agape House.

We hope this letter finds you safe and well. We understand you and your family have been impacted significantly. We wanted to check in with you and make sure you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. This is a crazy time, isn’t it? So much uncertainty, fret, and fear. We want to remind you that God’s got this. None of this has taken Him by surprise, and He will see us through. He says so in, Colossians 1:17, “I hold all things together”.

The office is closed, however we continue to serve our residents. We have some great news we’d like to share with you—this news serves as a perfect example of God’s grace! We have put another family into a warm, safe home on April 4th. This new family, husband and wife with two children overcoming great medical needs, are now on the Pathway To Independence. This precious family has had a rough time and the COVID-19 crisis has only magnified their needs. We are excited to have them safe and sound.

As you know, Agape House serves one of the most vulnerable populations in Prescott: homeless families in crisis. We are currently exploring ways to provide stability to both current residents and post-care residents during this time of crisis. This encompasses 20 adults and 36 children and we are seeking to be proactive to prevent any cyclical form of homelessness for these families.

We rely heavily on donations from members of our community—people like you—to provide the care and support our families need. As we continue to grow to support not only this new family, but also the other families we’re mentoring and serving, our expenses are increasing … and we know this pandemic will create additional expenses as we rent apartments for those who may not qualify for assistance.

As you know, employment has ceased for many minimum wage homes and most schools & childcare facilities have been closed – this cease of childcare creates a cease of availability for employment.

If you’d like to learn more about what we’re doing, please follow us on facebook or visit www.agapehouseprescott.com. We will be utilizing this time to seek greater meaningful connections through email, text, & phone. We want to be sensitive that many of our donors have been effected. If it is possible that you are able to keep giving monthly if you cannot we understand. We are so grateful for any donations you can make, and for your prayers as we continue to serve those who most need help. If you need help, please know that the members of the Agape House prayer team love to pray. If you have prayer concerns, please let us know. Call us at 928-910-1089 or send your prayer request via email (on our website, click on contact us). James 5:16, “Prayers of a righteous man avails much”. We graciously thank you for considering Agape House during this time of uncertainty.

With Gratitude,

Jim Flower
