Thank you team Agape!

We Are Humbled by This Year's Blessings

It is incredibly humbling and special share with you what the Lord has been doing. Just this year in 2019 Agape House of Prescott has been able to provide:

2,000 nights to call home for homeless single parents

That is 2,000 nights that homeless single parents with their children DID NOT have to sleep in a tent, or the back seat of a car.

In addition 2,500 nights to call home were provided to homeless children. Those children over the last 10 months have articulated thankfulness for a bed, a bathtub, a kitchen table, and having her own chair to sit in.

That is 2,500 nights that children DID NOT have to do their homework from the backseat of their car, DID NOT get their toilet paper stolen, DID NOT have to take a sponge bath with a wash cloth or at a community shower at the Salvation Army or YMCA, though we appreciate those services when needed tremendously- it is not a place for children.

That is a combined total of 4,500 nights to call home for families in crisis. Agape House of Prescott serves homeless single parents & their children.

Due to the tremendous giving community of Prescott, AZ our fourteen residents received food from area food banks.

Including the generous Community Cupboard at Catholic Charities, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Prescott Valley Food Bank, Chino Valley Food Bank, & Yavapai County Food Bank. We are so grateful to be able to partner with these wonderful organizations as they help to feed our residents. No one needs to go without food in the Prescott Area because of these fabulous nonprofits!. That is fourteen residents who DID NOT have to go hungry, mothers who DID NOT have to compromise food or housing for their children.

687 hours of mentoring and life skills training

That is life long support as we teach residents how to let go of anger, how to keep a job, how to maintain self-confidence, how to make healthy choices for a sustainable independent future.

Thank you to Jesus and thank you to you all!

Love,
Agape House of Prescott

Everyday is Thanksgiving Day For This Family of Five
Communicating the success stories of the families of Agape House is one of the highlights on my to-do list.  When I read the synopsis of where the resident's journey began, to where they are now, I stop in my tracks and truly say thank you. With it being Thanksgiving season, it is easy to be reminded to be ‘Thankful’ by …
