OUR PROGRAM

'PATHWAY TO INDEPENDENCE' PROGRAM HELPS HOMELESS FAMILIES

How is Agape House Different?

Since 2013, the Agape House of Prescott has become an important part of the solution to homelessness in the Prescott area. We are the only organization in the area which offers a support structure that keeps homeless families together to facilitate a return to long-term independence.

Agape House focuses on families in crisis. We are not a shelter or dormitory. The Pathway to Independence gives families a place to call home. The support system is a four-phase program of stability, personal wellness, life skills training, and sustainability. Our full-time mentors lead a team of over 60 volunteers that continually provide support to the families by mentoring, coaching, and building relationships so that the families can thrive and succeed. In the end, rebuilt and transformed lives live independently and self-sufficiently for years to come. Sadly, homelessness travels from generation to generation. Agape House helps each member of a family to break the future chain of homelessness.

Pathway To Independence

Agape House journeys every step of the way with the families during the rebuilding and transforming process.  The process of the Pathway to Independence has provided an 86% success rate of families living an independent life after graduating from the Agape House of Prescott program.

Pathway to Independence for Homeless Families

Our Mission

“Agape House of Prescott exists to provide long term transitional housing for families who are without a residence. We actively seek to keep the families together while helping facilitate additional support services in order to equip the families for an independent and self-sustained future.”

"A Weight Has Been Lifted!"

“When I first came into the program, I was not sure what I was getting into. I wasn’t sure if I could trust the Agape staff fully! I guess everything takes time. Agape House set me up with a mentor that meets with me once a week to work on my budget and finances. It was hard work, and I am still learning. Looking back, I was not fully honest with the Agape mentor. I kept praying to the Lord God to help me and to guide me through my situation. I had to face the consequences of my past actions, but now that I came clean and totally honest, I feel like a weight has lifted off my back. Now, I can move forward with my life.”
