A successful fund raising poinsettia campaign, moving a family off of the streets into an apartment just a few days before Christmas, fully furnishing their home, and providing gifts for Agape House families through the giving tree at the Goodwin Street Medical Supply– you can certainly declare that the past few weeks have been a whirlwind at the Agape House of Prescott. What is so exciting, this is only the beginning. God is mightily working in the Agape House ministry. Be prepared to be blown away by God’s tangible graciousness for what miracles occurred the past few weeks, and anticipate the blessings that lie ahead. It has been incredible to be able to witness His hand working in the lives of so many of our Prescott families.

A Home For Christmas

The family whose lives were forever changed just days before Christmas had a front row Homeless family got home for christmasseat to God’s hand at work. This single mother of four children was able to say good-bye to shuffling from sofa to sofa, good-bye to separating her family, good-bye to instability, and said hello to her family being together under the same roof and eating at the same table. With a teen age daughter, a teenage son, an elementary age son, and an elementary age daughter, the juggling act of providing a SAFE place for them to live was overwhelming. Agape House of Prescott was able to secure and pay for a three-bedroom apartment, the community stepped up with donations and fully furnished the home, $1,000 was donated to purchase new mattresses, and all of this completed just in time for Christmas morning.

A note from the mother:

I have to thank you once again for what you did for me and my family. The house is coming together quite well. It’s shocking to see all of us doing so much together and have so much joy. It’s been so long since all of us have been this happy! Thank you guys for everything!

Ready to Graduate From Agape House

This is what it is all about! Witnessing an individual work hard, watch them grow stronger, watch them grow with the Lord, and in the end graduate from the Agape House program!!

This is a story of a long journey with many hard lessons learned. The beauty of lessons learned, they are filled with grace and second chances. For this young mother, ten months ago she made an impulsive decision that sent this single mother of two down a bumpy road of homelessness and wandering. But fortunately, grace and second chances happened. After learning some life lessons the hard way, as well as tangibly feeling God’s Faithfulness, her life was changed forever. This single mom now gives all credit to HIS FAITHFULNESS. She worked hard and diligently saved her money for over six months. The reward ….. a new home of her own in 2019! She has been able to obtain a gracious home loan through the USDA and should be out of the umbrella of the care of Agape House by the end of February. Praise be to God! We are so very proud of her diligence! Amen!
